Pastor Darrell Scott on Trump's election

one-on-one with pastor Darrell Scott

Pastor Darrell Scott of the New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland Heights sat down with WKYC Channel 3’s Hilary Golston about now President-elect Donald Trump’s road to the White House.

On the heels of a meeting with Mr. Trump, Scott said Trump and his camp were completely confident about an impending win based on data they had compiled.

“When you talk about banning an entire group of people based on their religion, it can be sometimes difficult for those people to believe that you will then represent them,” Golston asked Scott regarding a Muslim ban first proposed by Mr. Trump.

The ban currently dons Trump’s website, although was reportedly taken down for a short period Thursday afternoon stating “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on.”

Scott says that Trump will be a president for all Americans, not just some Americans – helping to usher in a “golden age” in the United States.

He says Trump has clarified his position, adding “he himself has said I’m talking about extreme vetting. He himself has softened his stance on that”

“It’s on his website now,” Golston said.

“Have you seen any Muslims getting banned,” Scott replied.

“He’s not in office yet, he’s President-elect,” Golston explained.

“When he gets in office, we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it,” Scott argued.
