Police search for male who allegedly hit infant in stroller, drove off

BEACHWOOD, Ohio -- Police are searching for a male who is believed to have been involved in two hit-and-run crashes.

Beachwood Police have identified 28-year-old Robert Rosson as the driver, who police say hit a baby stroller with an infant inside and another vehicle shortly after on Saturday, May 13th.

Police say a female was pushing the baby stroller in the crosswalk at Cedar Road and Richmond Road around 5:30 p.m. in Beachwood when a vehicle hit the stroller.

According to Beachwood Police, the infant suffered some scratches on the arm, but no other injuries were reported.

The vehicle fled the scene thereafter, however, an individual who witnessed the incident followed the suspect vehicle.

Police say the driver of the suspect vehicle, believed to be Rosson, later hit the witness's vehicle and also drove away from that scene.

Beachwood Police say Rosson is driving a blue 2000 Chevrolet pick-up truck and had a last known address in Mayfield Heights. He may be living elsewhere now, however.

If anyone has any information on where Rosson may be, Beachwood Police say to call 911 or the Beachwood Police Department at 216-464-1234.

This is an ongoing investigation, and we will provide any updates as we get them.
