Tim Kaine and Mike Pence are both lesser known and lower key than their Presidential running mates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
Fewer than half of Americans could even name them in nationwide polls.
Tuesday night they will get their moment in the spotlight in their one and only debate.
Today in a political pop quiz for folks on the streets of Downtown Cleveland, we showed photographs of Pence and Kaine to passersby asking how many name them.
More than half those questioned were able to successfully identify them as Vice Presidential candidates.
The rest did not recognize them.
More than half of those we asked said they had no intention of watching tonight's debate.'
But about half did, telling us they thought it was important to learn something about them. Some acknowledged there should be more interest in the debate because one of them could be called up to become President given the age of Trump and Clinton.
