Speaker Paul Ryan all but concedes Hillary Clinton will win election

Clinton gaining strength after the debate

The Associated Press is reporting that House Speaker Paul Ryan is virtually conceding that Hillary Clinton will become the next President.

Ryan's remarks came in a Monday morning conference call with House Republicans.

He reportedly said he will not appear with Donald Trump for the remainder of the campaign.

He said his "entire energy will be devoted to making sure that Hillary Clinton does not get a blank check with a Democratic-controlled House."

The AP reports that the information came from an unidentified call participant, not authorized to speak for Ryan.

Meanwhile, an ironic old tape of Donald Trump describing his womanizing image has surfaced.

The 23-year-old tape was released Monday by New Zealand's TV-3 which conducted a 1993 interview with Trump.

At the time, Trump was trying to promote a prospective new casino in New Zealand.

A reporter asked Trump about his reputation of being around glamorous women.

No, I don't enjoy that image," Trump said. "I guess I think women are beautiful. I think certain women are more beautiful than others, to be perfectly honest. And it's fortunate I don't have to run for political office."

Many offficeholders, including Ohio Senator Rob Portman ,who had endorsed Trump are now abandoning him.

Two spokespersons for the Cuyahoga County Republican party told Tom Beres there are no plans for the local party to retract its Trump endorsement.
