AKRON -- What's expected to be a lengthy trial has begun for the FBI's top target in a wide-ranging corruption investigation in Cuyahoga County.
Jury selection started around 9 a.m. Wednesday in the case of former Cuyahoga County commissioner Jimmy Dimora, once head of Cleveland's mighty Democratic Party machine.
Dimora has pleaded not guilty to racketeering and taking bribes including a $1,000 massage in Las Vegas.
The case is being heard in federal court in Akron, 40 miles south of Dimora's political base.
Testimony begins Monday in a trial could last three months.
The judge has banned live blogging, tweeting and Facebook updates from the media covering the trial.
