CLEVELAND -- There are more Independent voters than members of either political party nationwide.
According to a recent Gallup poll, 40 percent of voters say they are Independents. In Cuyahoga County, the number is 49 percent.
Yet in many states, Independent voters feel like second-class citizens.
They pay for the cost of elections, but cannot vote in partisan primaries. Ohio is one of those states.
A new group, a state chapter of a nationwide group, is being launched in Ohio.
