Akron Police: Daughter charged in mother's death

AKRON -- Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with the stabbing death of a Copley mother. Police say one of those under arrest is the victim's daughter.

Police say the victim, 58-year-old Kristie Marks was found on Springdale Street with several stab wounds. Marks was taken to the hospital but died of her injuries.

Police have three people in custody in connection with the case.

Those arrested include: Taylor M.M. Marks, 20, the victim's daughter, charged with complicity to commit aggravated murder; Troy A. Purdie, 19, of Akron charged with aggravated murder and Brian Smith, 20, of Akron charged with complicity to commit aggravated murder.

All are being held in the Summit County Jail.
