
AKRON ? Akron police are investigating after $10,000 worth of bleachers were stolen from Hoban High School.
Police believe the theft occurred sometime after 9 p.m. Sunday night and before 6 a.m. Monday morning.
Officers say someone cut the padlock and fence off Edge Street to gain access, which will cost another $300 in repairs.
It?s believed the bleachers were stolen for their scrap metal value.
Police say this is the second time such a theft has occurred at Hoban. Back on July 30, 2007 someone stole the handrails and bleachers from south side of the softball field.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information should contact the Akron Police Department.
