STOW -- A 24-year-old councilman is heading to Minnesota.
Matt Riehl was elected as a delegate to the Republican National Convention earlier this week.
Delegates are charged with adopting the party?s platform, rules, and most importantly, nominating the party?s candidate for President of the United States.
This year?s convention takes place on September 1-4 in Minneapolis ? St. Paul, Minnesota.
?I think it is extremely important for people my age to become involved in the political process. I am truly honored to represent Ohio and the 14th Congressional District as a delegate for Senator McCain,? Riehl said.
In January, Riehl became the youngest member of Stow City Council in the city?s history at age 24.
