CANTON -- A Canton father has been charged with felonious assault in connection with injuries to his infant.

Police say the baby, just 12-weeks old, had to be taken to an Akron Hospital for treatment of face and buttock injuries as well as a broken leg.

The father was taken into custody on April 26.
