CANTON, Ohio -- The Canton Fire Department is investigating a suspicious fire at a recycling facility on 19th Street NE early Wednesday morning.
The fire started late Tuesday night at American Demolition and burned into the early morning Wednesday.
American Demolition, at the corner of 19th Street NE and Dover Avenue NE, recycles metal products, as well as synthetic fiber products including Kevlar.
There has been a string of break-ins at businesses in the area, including this recycling facility, a battalion chief at the scene said.
Wind feeding the flames made it more difficult for crews fighting the fire, the battalion chief said.
