AKRON -- Former Cuyahoga County County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora arrived in a wheelchair at United States Federal Court to be sentenced for corruption charges.
Court observers say Dimora was accompanied by a United States Marshal who was carrying a walker.
Prosecutors have asked that Dimora be sentenced to more than 22 years in prison.
Dimora's attorneys have asked for leniency in sentencing because of Dimora's poor health and similar corruption cases that brought sentences of just a few years.
Dimora was convicted of racketeering, bribery, and other counts.
