Half of all American adults now own a tablet or smartphone and many of these folks are also getting their news on those devices. A third of mobile device users watch news stories and video clips at least once a week. That's according to the Pew Research center. Pew says though news viewing habits are changing, mobile viewing doesn't necessarily mean people are cutting back from getting their news from traditional sources.
Beware of tech support scams that trick you into paying for the removal of fake computer viruses and spyware. The FTC says it has evidence from 2,400 complaints that it's part of an international scam. Watch out for people who e-mail you or call you and say they've detected a virus on your computer.
