EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform during the Super Bowl half-time show next month.
Musician Bruno Mars announced that the iconic rock band would join him for the mid-game performance on February 2 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, including members Anthony Kiedis and Flea, have been performing since 1983, and they are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees.
Headliner Bruno Mars was recently named Billboards' 2013 Artist of the Year.
Last year's Super Bowl half-time show featured a performance by Beyonce, with special appearances by former Destiny'c Child members Kelly Rowland and Michele Williams.
In 2012, Madonna headlined the show, being joined by Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.
