MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- Police investigating the death of a 4-year-old boy in central Ohio have arrested his mother and her boyfriend.
WBNS-TV reports that Knox County authorities arrested the pair Wednesday and charged them with child endangering.
Mount Vernon police said they received an emergency call on Sunday about an unresponsive boy.
The boy's mother called 911 and said the boy had fallen down some stairs Saturday, but seemed OK until he stopped breathing the next day.
Investigators he died later at a Columbus hospital. A pending autopsy will determine cause of death.
Mount Vernon is northeast of Columbus.
