AKRON -- Police say a man's sudden death led them to the discovery of a full meth lab, which resulted in several arrests.

Akron Police say it was around 11 a.m. Monday when officers responded to a call for an unresponsive man down near the intersection of South Seiberling Street and Englewood Avenue.

The victim, Patrick Pettit, 33, was taken to Akron City Hospital where he later died.

Following up on his death, officers went to Pettit's address on League Street where they reportedly recovered a full meth lab in the apartment.

Four individuals inside the apartment were arrested and booked in the Summit County Jail on charges of illegal manufacturing of methamphetamines, illegal assembly of chemicals, possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Pettit's death remains under investigation.
