COSHOCTON -- The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the death of an 8-week-old child.
The Summit County Medical Examiner ruled the boy's death a homicide following an autopsy Saturday, adding that the child died from traumatic injuries.
Thursday night at 10:18 p.m., the Coshocton Sheriff's Office responded to a Glenview Way home to assist with a child who was not breathing. 8-week-old Raven Lafferty was taken to Akron Children's Hospital for treatment.
He later died Friday night just after 11:00 p.m.
Raven's father, Corey Lafferty, 23, is being held on $250,000 bond on a felonious assault charge, according to Sheriff Timothy Rogers.
Those charges will likely be escalated due to the Medical Examiner's ruling.
