CLEVELAND -- A busy night along St. Clair Avenue on Cleveland's east side included one man shooting at another and then getting the business end of a stun gun early Friday morning.
Police were responding to a call for a shooting close to East 140th Street and St. Clair Avenue at about 2:40 a.m., when a squad car noticed two men running down the street near East 128th Street.
Officers approached the running men and ordered them to stop. When the one man refused, officers used a stun gun to subdue him.
Upon further investigation, the two men had been fighting over a cell phone when one of the men, who received the stun gun, fired a gun at the other man. The bullet missed the other man, but police did take the alleged shooter into custody. It is unclear if any charges are pending.
The reported shooting a few blocks away involved a man grazed by a bullet from a drive-by shooting.
Nobody was seriously injured in either incident, police said.
