BAY VILLAGE -- Police here took reports from two women who say their car windows were smashed and their purses stolen from inside the cars while they were attending a church event.

Police received the calls just after 8 p.m. Thursday.

One woman was from Avon Lake and both women said they were parked in the St. Barnabas parking lot.

Police continue to investiagte the incidents.
