CLEVELAND -- Narcotics Unit detectives dismantled a marijuana growing operation after executing a search warrant -- seizing plants, equipment, and weapons.
Police entered the home around 10:19 a.m. Saturday.
Police say the Harvard Avenue home was being used to grow and package marijuana. They say the setup included very high-end equipment and special motorized track lighting to help quickly grow the plants.
Police confiscated over 800 marijuana plants and several high powered assault rifles.
After searching the home, a second search warrant was served at a Broadview Heights home where several pounds of marijuana and cash were found, along with a pistol.
Police say Steven Schiff was arrested and is expected to appear in court Monday for cultivating marijuana.
Police say the today's events are part of an ongoing investigation.
