TOLEDO -- Police say two people have been arrested after the discovery of a dead infant in a freezer in a Toledo rental property.
The landlord called police Friday night after discovering the body while cleaning out the house.
Twenty-year-old Kenisha Pruitt and 18-year-old Antonio Cervantes were arrested Saturday on charges of child endangerment.
Police Sgt. Joe Heffernan tells The Blade newspaper (http://bit.ly/HHYg8s ) that more charges are possible once an autopsy is performed. He says he didn't know the infant's approximate age, other than to describe her as "very young."
According to a court affidavit, Pruitt and Cervantes moved into the house in November but were in the process of moving out.
They are being held in the Lucas County jail pending arraignment Monday. There's no immediate word on whether they have attorneys.
