DAYTON -- The University of Dayton plans to spend $10 million to renovate its oldest residence hall on campus.

Work on Founders Hall is set to begin next spring and be finished a little over a year later. Founders Hall was built in 1954 and houses about 400 students.

Dayton officials say they've invested heavily in new and renovated resident halls over the past decade.

A new townhouse-style housing area is slated to open in August for Dayton students.

It will have room for 400 residents.
