St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Wild signed center Kyle
Brodziak to a three-year contract extension on Sunday.
Brodziak, 27, has 15 goals and 29 points through 58 games this season with
Minnesota, his third with the team.
He broke into the NHL in 2005-06 with the Edmonton Oilers after being selected
in the seventh round of the 2003 draft. In four seasons with the Oilers,
Brodziak registered 26 goals and 59 points.
In 395 career games, Brodziak has scored 66 goals and added 91 assists for 157
points.
He also brings a much needed element of toughness for the Wild, with 64 hits
and 43 penalty minutes this season.
