Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Mike Minor worked seven scoreless innings to
guide the Atlanta Braves past the Colorado Rockies, 1-0, in the middle test of
a three-game set at Turner Field.
Minor (8-10), who carried a no-hitter into the seventh, allowed just one hit
and struck out seven while walking four.
Chipper Jones scored the game's lone run, while Michael Bourn, Jason Heyward
and Minor also tallied hits for the Braves, winners in three of four.
Craig Kimbrel stranded two in the eighth inning and one in the ninth to earn
his 33rd save of the year.
Alex White (2-8) was charged with the loss after giving up one unearned run
on two hits and four walks over four innings.
Jordan Pacheco broke up Minor's no-hit bid with a single in the seventh
inning.
The Rockies lost for just the sixth time in 17 games.
