San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - Trevor Cahill took a no-hitter into the
seventh inning on Wednesday and the Arizona Diamondbacks topped the San
Francisco Giants, 6-2, in the finale of a three-game at AT&T Park.
Cahill (10-11) was charged with two runs on two hits and a pair of walks with
five strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings to earn his first win since July 30.
Chris Johnson clubbed a two-run double, while Aaron Hill, Paul Goldschmidt,
Miguel Montero and John McDonald all knocked in a run for the Diamondbacks,
who have won back-to-back games on the heels of a three-game slide.
Brandon Belt smoked a two-run single for the Giants, who have lost two
straight after winning three in a row. Madison Bumgarner (14-10) was saddled
with his third straight loss after allowing four runs on seven hits and two
walks with five strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings.
