Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics have recalled pitcher Dan
Straily from Triple-A Sacramento.
Straily will join the parent club for the second time this season. He was 1-0
with a 3.18 earned run average in three starts for the Athletics in August.
The Athletics sent him back to the minors after Brett Anderson came off the
disabled list. He went 1-0 with a 4.61 ERA in three starts for the River Cats
following his demotion.
In a combined 25 starts for Double-A Midland and Sacramento, the 23-year-old
right-hander posted a record of 9-7 with a 2.78 ERA and led all of minor
league baseball with 190 strikeouts.
