Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Adeiny Hechavarria hit a two-run homer and
Brandon Morrow tossed six scoreless innings, as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the
Boston Red Sox, 5-0, to avoid a three-game sweep.
With the loss, the Red Sox clinched their first non-winning season since 1997
(78-84).
Moises Sierra, Colby Rasmus and Omar Vizquel added an RBI apiece for the Blue
Jays, who went 2-4 on a six-game homestand.
Morrow gave up four hits while striking out three and walking one. Brandon
Lyon (3-0) recorded the final two outs in the seventh to pick up the win.
Jon Lester (9-12) allowed three runs on four hits over seven innings for the
Red Sox, who fell to 66-81 on the season. He struck out seven and walked one.
