Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Marco Estrada tossed seven strong innings and the Milwaukee Brewers continued to roll with a 3-1 win over the fading Pittsburgh Pirates in the second of three from PNC Park.

Estrada (4-6) gave up just three hits and a walk with four strikeouts and also drove in a run in his second straight win.

Norichika Aoki hit a solo home run to start the game while Jean Segura went 2- for-4 with two runs scored for the Brewers, who have won four straight, seven of eight and 18 of their past 23 to get back in the playoff hunt.

Milwaukee currently sits two games back of St. Louis for the final wild card spot in the National League. The Cardinals are currently playing the Astros.

Pittsburgh, meanwhile, has dropped 14 of its last 18 games to fall back to .500 on the season and sit four games out of the last wild card.

Andrew McCutchen homered in the ninth inning to bring a scoreless streak of 23 innings for the Pirates while Kyle McPherson (0-1) lost his first career start after giving up two runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings.
