Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Cole Hamels allowed one run over seven innings to
guide the Philadelphia Phillies to a 4-1 win over the Miami Marlins in the
finale of a three-game set at Marlins Park.
Hamels (17-6) scattered five hits and struck out eight to reach the 17-win
plateau for the first time in his career.
Carlos Ruiz went 3-for-4 with an RBI double and Nate Schierholtz had two hits
and drove in a run for the Phillies, who have won two straight on the heels of
a three-game skid.
Nathan Eovaldi (4-13) allowed three runs on six hits and struck out seven over
six innings to absorb the loss.
Carlos Lee knocked in the lone run for the Marlins, who have dropped 11 of
their last 13.
