Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Tennessee Titans starting quarterback Jake Locker left Sunday's 38-14 loss to the Houston Texans with a left shoulder injury.

On 3rd-and-7 midway through the opening quarter, Glover Quin came untouched on a safety blitz and sacked Locker for an 8-yard loss. While Locker was going down, Houston defensive end J.J. Watt hit him with the crown of his helmet directly on the shoulder.

"I didn't see him," Locker said of Quin. "I'd have done something about it if I had seen him."

Locker stayed on the ground for several minutes before heading back to the locker room with his left arm tucked against his chest. He returned to the sideline in the second quarter in street clothes with his left arm in a sling.

"It's always toughest part of playing any game when you have to stand on the sideline and watch your team compete and you're not able to be out there with them," Locker said.

After the game, Titans head coach Mike Munchak said that Locker was "sore" and will undergo an MRI on Monday.

Locker also suffered a left shoulder injury during Tennessee's season-opening loss to the New England Patriots.
