LORAIN -- More than 500 nurses have issued a 10-day strike notice to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.
The nurses are represented by SEIU District 1199 and are in contract talks with Cincinnati-based Catholic Health Partners.
The 10-day strike notice was hand-delivered by a group of nurses earlier Monday.
If an agreement cannot be reached, nurses plan to begin their strike on October 19 at 12 p.m.
