Cleveland: Man found dead on city's eastside identified

CLEVELAND -- Police were called to East 105th Street and Ostend Avenue Wednesday night for reports of a "man down."  At first they did not  know if he'd been shot, stabbed, or what happened.

The Cleveland Police's preliminary investigation shows that a Fifth District Sergeant, while patrolling during the course of his duties around 7 p.m., was flagged down by citizens regarding an injured man.

The victim,  24-year-old Wayman roseberry of Cleveland, was found on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and neck.

EMS responded and pronounced the man dead.

The Homicide Unit and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office were also called to the scene.

No suspect information is available yet.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office will determine the final cause of death.

The victim's name is not being released at this time.
