CLEVELAND -- A former substitute teacher in Parma, Garfield Heights,and North Royalton was sentenced to six years in prison for sharing child pornography images and videos.
Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Brendan Sheehan pronounced the sentence on Edward Marton, 26, of Independence, Monday morning.
Marton, then-25, was arrested on March 2 after investigators with the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at his Independence home and seized computers and equipment containing child porn and also nine CDs locked inside a safe at the home.
At first he pleaded not guilty to all 68 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, one count of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and one count of possessing criminal tools.
On Sept. 25, Marton plead guilty to 26 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, one count of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance, and one count of possessing criminal tools with forfeiture specifications.
