CLEVELAND -- An RTA bus is pulled out of service as police investigate a shooting about 9 p.m. Monday night at E. 105th Street and Ashbury Avenue.
Police say several people were injured. Police said at least six shots were fired at the rear curbside area of the bus while the bus was stopped at the intersection of East 105th Street and Euclid Avenue.
Witnesses said four teens were outside the bus at the bus stop but ran off after the shooting.
Two people on the bus were shot.
One was taken to the Cleveland Clinic by EMS, the other went to MetroHealth Medical Center on their own.
RTA says a third person was taken to the Cleveland Clinic with asthma/anxiety pains after the incident. When the gunfire started, passengers scrambled to get off the bus.
One of the victims said the shooting came from near the back of the bus. A .45 caliber gun was found at the scene and a check of its registration shows that it was stolen from a Bedford location on Nov. 14.
