Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday placed
wide receiver Dwayne Bowe on injured reserve.
Bowe hurt his ribs in last week's game at Cleveland. He caught 59 passes for
801 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games this season.
The 28-year-old will become a free agent at the end of the season. He played
on a one-year, $9.2 million contract this season as the Chiefs' franchise
player.
Bowe, a first-round draft pick in 2007, has caught 415 passes for 5,728 yards
and 39 touchdowns in 88 career games with the Chiefs.
Kansas City also promoted offensive lineman Rich Ranglin to the 53-man roster
from the practice squad.
