Social media is tangled up in Spider-Man's web as a tiny version of the superhero surprised President Obama at the White House.
In the now-viral image, a small boy dressed as Spider-Man is seen slinging an imaginary web in President Obama's direction. During the "invasion" Obama threw his hands in the air and winced back as the miniature Spidey stared him down.
The photo, which was posted on President Obama's Twitter page Wednesday, has become a widespread watercooler topic. Within 24 hours of being published, the image had nearly 12,000 retweets.
It has also been a hit on President Obama's Facebook page racking up more than 676,000 likes, more than 66,000 shares and nearly 19,000 comments.
Just who is that masked kiddo? In true superhero fashion, the identity of the pint-sized web-slinger remains a mystery (although many believe it's a staffer's son).
It's unclear when the image was taken, but many speculate it was around Halloween.
Earlier this week, President Obama was named Time magazine's "Person of the Year."
