PENINSULA -- This week's snow and cold temperatures has been great news for skiers.
Boston Mills Ski Resort, which is currently reporting a 6-10" base, opened for the season at 3 p.m. Friday.
Brandywine, its nearby sister location, opens at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Since it is opening weekend, not every trail will be open. So, before you strap on the skis and hit the slopes, be sure to check their snow report to see which trails are open for the day.
"With cold temperatures in the forecast we will be able to pound away at snowmaking and start to open more terrain quickly," a post on the resorts' website says.
Brandywine has a new 48,000 square-foot Base Lodge with a long row of windows looking out at the slopes.
