WILLOUGHBY -- And he didn't even leave the light on for them.

Just before 4 a.m. Sunday, police arrested a man, 36, in a room at the Motel 6 on three outstanding Willoughby police warrants for failing to appear in court to answer to attempted theft and impersonating a police officer charges.

He was also charged with possession of heroin.

He had his 2-year-old son with him at the time so the boy was removed from the room and the child's mother responded to the scene to pick him up.

The man is being held for additional felony warrants out of the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department and misdemeanor warrants out of the Mentor Police Department.
