DeKalb, IL (Sports Network) - A'uston Calhoun recorded a double-double with a
game-high 15 points as the Bowling Green Falcons defeated the Northern
Illinois Huskies, 57-41, in a Mid-American Conference bout at the NIU
Convocation Center.
Calhoun added 12 rebounds in the Falcons' (9-13, 4-5 MAC) victory. Richaun
Holmes recorded 11 points, five boards, and three blocks off the bench.
The Falcons have won two of their last three games.
For the Huskies (5-16, 3-6), Abdel Nader was two rebounds shy of a double-
double with 12 points, but was the only player in double-figures as NIU lost a
second consecutive game.
Bowling Green made 52 percent from the floor, while holding NIU to a mere 4-
of-29 field goals, en route to a 30-15 advantage at the break.
NIU continued hit 45.5 percent from the field in the second half but missed
both shots from the free-throw line and made only 6-of-12 from the foul line.
The Falcons closed out the game by shoot 35.7 percent while hitting 2-of-6
from 3-point range in the final 20 minutes.
Bowling Green Made 43.1 percent from the floor including five 3-pointers,
while NIU was held to 27.5 percent from the floor and only two from long-
range on the night.
