St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Rams released safety Quintin
Mikell and re-signed defensive tackle Jermelle Cudjo to a two-year contract on
Monday.
Mikell, who signed a four-year deal with the Rams in 2011, was scheduled to
make $6 million in 2013. The move saves the Rams $3 million in cap space.
The 32-year-old Mikell played in 32 games for St. Louis, recording 192
tackles, four sacks and a pair of interceptions. Prior to joining the Rams, he
spent eight seasons with the Eagles.
Cudjo has played in 25 games since joining St. Louis as an undrafted rookie
out of Central Oklahoma in 2010. He has 34 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks during that
span.
