EASTLAKE -- Police here arrested and charged Ronnie A. Stewart Jr, 25, of Parma, on felony charges of uttering a forged check and theft.
Police say Stewart was released from his employment at Skrl Die Casting in Eastlake and issued a check for time worked in January in the amount of $78.19.
Stewart is charged with altering the check to $1,304.23 and cashing it.
Steward appeared in Willoughby Municipal Court at 10 a.m. Wednesday via video from the jail and pleaded not guilty. He is being held in the Lake County Jail on $10,000 bond.
An attorney has been appointed for him and his next appearance is set for 1 p.m. March 19.
