Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars released wide
receiver Laurent Robinson and signed linebacker Geno Hayes, the team announced
on Wednesday.
Robinson, who signed a five-year deal with Jacksonville as a free agent prior
to last season, was limited to just seven games in 2012 because of concussion
problems. He had just 24 catches for 252 years.
The Illinois State product's best season came in 2011, when Robinson posted
career-highs with 54 catches for 858 yards and 11 touchdowns as a member of
the Dallas Cowboys.
Hayes appeared in 15 games with the Chicago Bears last season, tallying 16
tackles. Prior to his stint with the Bears, Hayes spent four seasons with the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2008-11.
Terms of Hayes' deal were not disclosed.
