The Wolstein Sports & Entertainment Group today unveiled plans to build the stadium, along with a retail and office complex, off Route 8 in Macedonia.
The project will cost $327 million, but backers say it will have an $11 billion impact on the state of Ohio.
In addition to the stadium, plans call for a 25-field sports complex.
It's hoped that the stadium will attract an MLS soccer team, and could host approximately 91 events per year.
Surrounding the area will be a 425,000 square foot shopping center, similar to Crocker Park and Legacy Village.
A medical campus is also being proposed.
It's possible that a county-wide tax on cigarettes or hotel rooms could be used to help fund the project.
