LITHOPOLIS, OH -- Police in central Ohio say a teenager pulled bed sheets over her head to hide from two intruders in her home, then sent a text message to her mother who left work and
called 911.
Police arrived and arrested two suspects at the scene.
Thirteen-year-old Lauren Durnbaugh was sick and didn't go to school yesterday when she heard someone open an unlocked rear door to her home, about 15 miles southeast of Columbus. Police say at one point the intruders sat on her bed, unaware she was there.
Her mother -- 53-year-old Margo Roby -- came home and wrestled with one of the intruders as police arrived.
Jenna Marie Burns of Orient and Jeremiah Lee Fyffe of Lockbourne were arrested on burglary charges. The remain in a county jail on
$100,000 bond.
