CLEVELAND -- On Monday, March 31, West Third Street will be closed under I-90 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drivers will be detoured via Harrison, W 4th, and Central Avenue.
Also, during the week of March 31, be alert for flagging operations on Canal Road & West 3rd Street as demolition operations continue.
In other construction news, starting Monday, construction will begin, weather permitting, on Phase II of the resurfacing project along on Chester Avenue between East 13th Street to East 27th Street.
During this phase, the eastbound and westbound curb and adjacent lanes on Chester Avenue from East 13th Street to East 27th Street will be closed.
Traffic will be maintained using one lane westbound and one lane eastbound adjacent to the median. Access to all businesses, residences and side streets will be maintained during construction.
This phase of the project is scheduled for completion by Aug. 5. This project will extended along 3.4 miles of Chester Avenue from East 13th Street to East 93rd Street and on East 13th Street (US322) between US 6 (Superior Avenue) and Chester Avenue.
The project will include roadway base repair, removal and replacement of existing asphalt, new ADA compliant curb ramps and pavement markings. The construction cost is $5,187,874.80.
