CLEVELAND - The George V. Voinovich Bridge is scheduled to reopen its eastbound lanes next weekend.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the bridge will reopen with a ribbon cutting ceremony Sept. 24 at 10 a.m.
A portion atop the bridge will be open to pedestrian traffic around noon.
The $500 million project began in 2011 with construction of the westbound bridge.
The previous Innerbelt bridge was demolished in 2014.
