Bobby Brown says his ex-wife, singer Whitney Houston, was using narcotics long before the two got together and that he did not get her hooked on drugs.
Brown sat down for a one-on-one interview with 'Today's' Matt Lauer -- his first interview since the singer's death in February.
Brown says the couple had a great relationship for 14 years and that he still loves her.
He says he didn't realize Whitney was still struggling with drug addiction until after learning there were drugs in the hotel room where she died.
He learned about her death from a friend.
