Hundreds of daredevils raced down steep hills for the world downhill skate-boarding and street luge championships. More than 200 racers from all over the world competed at Olympic Park, hitting speeds of 55 miles-per-hour on the almost mile-long track.
It's being touted as the world's fastest electric car. The "Concept One" is made by a small Croatian company. The vehicle runs on four electric motors and can reach a top speed of 190 miles per hour. The car can also go from zero to 62 miles an hour in just under three seconds. Interest is especially high in the United States with the first deliveries expected in 2014.
A Canadian newscast had an unwelcome visitor. CTV Ottawa was in their noon newscast when a bat flew through. With a few screeches and the help of some newsroom employees, the bat was encouraged to leave through a side door.
