Forget those warm and fuzzy national holidays. Be "in the know" about the REAL May holidays.
Here are the real reasons to celebrate in May, presented in a way that you can copy and post next to your office calendar.
May 1 is Save the Rhino Day, as well as Mother Goose Day.
May 2 is Fire Day and May 3 is Lumpy Rug Day. They are followed by May 4, which is National Candied Orange Peel Day.
May 5 is National Hoagie Day, followed by Beverage Dao on May 6. May 7 is International Tuba Day, Paste Up Day, and National Roast Leg of Lamb Day. Yum!
May 8 is No Socks Day and Have A Coke Day.
Now here's the May Memorial Day you might not know about: May 9 is Lost Sock Memorial Day.
Tell your children that May 10 is Clean Up Your Room Day.
May 11 is Eat What You Want Day and Twilight Zone Day. (Can you still hear the "Twilight Zone" theme song in your head?
May 12 is Limerick Day, followed immediately by Leprechaun Day on May 14.
But May 14 is also national Dance Like A Chicken Day.
May 15 is National Chocolate Chip Day and May 16 is Wear Purple For Peace Day.
Clean up on Pack Rat Day on May 17.
May 18 is International Museum Day and Visit Your Relatives Day, while May 19 is Frog Jumping Jubilee Day.
May 20 is Eliza Doolittle Day, but we can't find a Professor Henry Higgins Day at all.
May 21 is National Memo Day and National Waitresses and Waiters Day. May 22 is Buy-A-Musical-Instrument Day.
May 23 is Penny Day and the French declared May 24 as National Escargot Day.
Expect to see the Tap Dancing Divas tapdancing their way through the streets of downtown Chagrin Falls on May 25, which is National Tap Dance Day.
May 26 is Grey Day, May 27 is Body Painting Arts Festival Day and May 28 is National Hamburger Day.
May 29 is End Of The Middle Ages Day and May 30 is My Bucket's Got A Hole In It Day.
Finally, May 31 is National Macaroon Day.
What's a macaroon, you ask? A macaroon is a flourless cookie made from ground nuts and leavened egg whites.
Coconut and potato starch is common in Macaroon recipes. Macaroons were believed to have been first made in an Italian monastery in 1792.
