SHREVEPORT, Louisiana -- High winds from a possible tornado have caused a lot of damage and at least one serious injury in Louisiana.
The massive steeple of a church came toppling down, falling on a car as it fell, when high winds passed through downtown Shreveport Thursday evening.
Amazingly, firefighters were able to rescue the man in the car and is in serious, but stable condition at a local hospital.
The area was under tornado warnings, but officials have not confirmed that a tornado hit the church.
Events at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds were also canceled due to the weather.
